About Heritage Jewelers
Heritage Jewelers is a family-owned business, operated by Dirk and Jan Swiderek. With three generations of experience, along with our commitment to service and integrity, we are looking forward to being your jeweler. Our experience ranges from custom design and manufacturing to diamonds and colored stones.
Bella International, our wholesale diamond division, was incorporated in 2000. For the past ten years, Bella International has served the retail trade in the Chicagoland and northwest Indiana areas. Our expertise in custom design and manufacturing and diamond purchasing, along with our desire to create the perfect piece of jewelry, has been our passion.
This philosophy and commitment have allowed us to expand our business to the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, with Lockport, Illinois as our new home. Our desire is to bring the competitiveness of downtown Chicago's "Jewelers Row" to an easy to reach, comfortable location we proudly call "Heritage Jewelers LLC."
Our Company has gained a sterling reputation for our knowledgeable, professional and responsive service, and for maintaining the utmost integrity and professionalism in all of our client relationships.
Our inventory consists of thousands of GIA and EGL-certified as well as non-certified diamonds. These range from .30 ct. to 15 carats and larger in all shapes, D to L in color and FL to SI-2 in clarity. We also carry an extensive selection of matched pairs, suites in all shapes, and fancy vivid yellows.
With our ability to purchase diamonds worldwide, we can find the perfect diamond to satisfy the most challenging request. We at Heritage Jewelers have also adopted a "low-markup, high-volume" philosophy. Working on smaller margins has allowed our business to grow, and we at Heritage Jewelers remain committed to you, the customer.

We utilize the latest technology for designing and restyling jewelry. This rendering allows you to see the design and make changes before the ring is produced.
A customer's worn out wedding ring
This ring was brought in to us after being worn for more then 25 years. One of the diamonds had fallen out and was lost, and the customer wanted us to rework their old ring into something brand new. We informed the customer that we could give them a new look and they would still have their original engagement ring for its sentimental value.
Old ring made new!
After discussing different options with the customer, it was decided that a halo of diamonds around the center stone would give the old ring a new look. We replaced the missing diamond and our goldsmith (Tom) rebuilt the entire top of the ring. It's amazing what can be accomplished with a minimal amount of time and money!

Tom has over 30 years of experience in the jewelry industry. He is a magician when it comes to repairing, refinishing and creating jewelry.
